Convert 4 kilogram into gram.

Solution.

4 Kilogram = ……… gram

4 Kilogram = I kilogram + 1 kilogram + 1 kilogram + 1 kilogram

∵ 4 Kilogram = 1000 gram + 1000 gram + 1000 gram + 1000 gram = 4000 gram

or 4 x 1000 gram = 4000 gram.

Convert 3000 gram into kilogram.

Solution.

3000 gram = ……… kilogram

∵ 3000 gram = 1000 gram + 1000 gram + 1000 gram

3000 gram = 1 kilogram + 1 kilogram + 1 kilogram

3000 gram = 3 kilogram = [latex]\frac { 3000 }{ 1000 }[/latex] = 3 kg.

or 3000 – 1000 = 3 kilogram

(iii) 1250 gram = 1000 gram + 250 gram

Solution.

Since, sugar bag with the weight unit 500 gm is equal to 5 kg of weight

so, the amount of sugar in the bag is 500 gm less than 5 kg.

Therefore, weight of sugar = 5 kg – 500 gm

= 4 kg 500 gm

**Question 1.

Weigh out 300 gm with the help of 500 gm and 200 gm iron weight units.

Solution.

Question 2.

Weigh out 700 gram with the help of 1 kg. 200 gram and 100 gram iron weight units.
