Question 1.

**Convert the unit in following questions:**

(i) 12 kilometer = ………….. meter

(ii) 10 \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 }\) kilometer = ………….. meter

(iii) 25 \(\frac { 1 }{ 4 }\) meter = ………….. centimeter

(iv) 15 \(\frac { 3 }{ 4 }\) meter = ………….. centimeter

(v) 4 \(\frac { 1 }{ 5 }\) cm. = ………….. millimeter

(vi) 1 \(\frac { 4 }{ 5 }\) cm. = ………….. millimeter

Solution.

(i) 12 kilometer To convert(RBSESolutions.com)kilometer into meter multiply by 1000.

Therefore 12 km = 12 × 1000 = 12000 meter

(ii) 10 \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 }\) kilometer

To convert kilometer inot meter, multiply by 1000

Therefore 10 \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 }\) km = 10 km + \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 }\) km

= 10 x 1000 meter + \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 }\) x 1000 meter

= 10000 + 500 meter = 10500 meter

Therefore, distance travelled by Kavita to go to school and return back home is 14 km 600 meter.

Question 4.

A city is 46 kilometer far from Manju’s house. The bus broke(RBSESolutions.com)down after travelling up to 32 kilometer 600 meter. How much distance she needs to cover?

Solution.

Therefore, Manju needs to cover 13 km 400 meter distance.
