निम्नलिखित वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखिये
(i) Sita is good girl.
(ii) The sun rises in the east.
(iii) My elder brother lives in Jaipur.
(iv) It is very cold today.
उपर्युक्त चारों वाक्यों में रेखांकित शब्द किसी कार्य को करने वाले हैं, इन्हें कर्ता (subject) कहा जाता है। नोट-Verb से कौन/किसने से प्रश्न पूछने पर प्राप्त उत्तर subject होता है।
जैसे-पहले वाक्य में
कौन अच्छी लड़की है ? Sita
दूसरे वाक्य में| कौन पूर्व में उगता है ? The sun

निम्नलिखितं वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखिये
(i) Ram is going to home.
(ii) Hari is a boy.
(iii) We play here.
(iv) I have a book.
उपर्युक्त चारों वाक्यों में रेखांकित शब्द क्रिया (verb) कहलाते हैं। ये किसी कार्य या दशा के बारे में बताते हैं।
[The word which denotes an action or a state is a verb.]
निम्नलिखित वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक देखिये
(i) I bought a book.
(ii) She saw me.
(iii) I am watching a reality show.
(iv) He threw a stone.
उपर्युक्त चारों वाक्यों में रेखांकित शब्द object कहलाते हैं। किसी कार्य को ग्रहण करने वाला शब्द object कहलाता हैं।

Note-Verb से किसे/किसको/क्या का उत्तर object होता है। जैसे-
(i) क्या खरीदा ? a book
(ii) किसको देखा ? me
(iii) क्या देख रहा ? a reality show
(iv) क्या फेंका ? a stone
निम्नलिखित वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक देखिये
(ii) This is a book.
(i) I am a teacher.
(iii) She is a girl.
(iv) They elected him a president.
उपर्युक्त चारों वाक्यों में रेखांकित शब्द complement कहलाते हैं। ये subject या object के अधूरे अर्थ को पूरा करते हैं। ये subject या object के बारे में बताते हैं। जैसे-
(i) a book, this के बारे में बताता है।
(ii) a teacher, I के बारे में बताता है।
(iii) a girl, she के बारे में बताता है।
(iv) a president, him के बारे में बताता है।
निम्नलिखित वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक देखिये
(i) I met him in the morning.
(ii) I was sitting in the garden.
(iii) There is fan on the table.
(iv) I was standing there.
उपर्यत चारों वाक्यों में रेखांकित शब्द adverbials कहलाते हैं। ये स्थान या समय के बारे में बताते हैं। वाक्य में स्थान तथा समय के बारे में बताने वाले शब्द adverbials कहलाते हैं।
