अंग्रेजी के ठोस ज्ञान के लिए Tenses का ज्ञान अत्यन्त आवश्यक है । Tense Verb का वह रूप (form) है जो कार्य का समय बताता है । जैसे –

  • He goes. (वर्तमान का द्योतक है ।)
  • He went. (भूतकाल का द्योतक है ।)

अंग्रेजी में मुख्य रूप से तीन काल (Tenses) होते हैं –

  2. Past Tense (भूतकाल)
  3. Future Tense (भविष्य काल)

प्रत्येक काल के चार रूप होते हैं –
