Question 1.
If the cost of 1 quintal of sugar is Rs 2700, find (RBSESolutions.com) the cost of 1 kg sugar.
Solution:
Cost of 1 quintal of sugar = Rs. 2700
or cost of 100 kg of sugar= Rs. 2700
⇒ Cost of 1 kg of sugar = \(\frac { 2700 }{ 100 } \) = Rs. 27
Thus, cost of 1 kg of sugar is Rs 27.

Question 2.
The bus fare for 200 km is Rs 150. What (RBSESolutions.com) will be the fare for 500 km?
Solution:
Bus fare of for 200 km = Rs. 150
⇒ Bus fare for 1 km = Rs. \(\frac { 150 }{ 200 } \)
∴ Bus fare for 500 km
= \(\frac { 150\times 500 }{ 200 } \) = Rs 375.
Thus, Rs. 375 will be the fare for 500 km.

Solution:
Interest for Rs. 700 = Rs. 168
⇒ Interest for Rs. 1 = Rs. \(\frac { 168 }{ 700 } \)
⇒ Interest for Rs 1500 = Rs. \(\frac { 168\times 1500 }{ 700 } \)
= Rs. 360
Thus, Rs 360 will be the interest on Rs. 1500 for the same time and some rate of interest.

Question 4.
In a day, 6 girls were able to fence 18 plants. Then 15 girls can (RBSESolutions.com) fence how many plants in a day?
Solution:
6 girls fence= 18 plants
⇒ 1 girls can fence = \(\frac { 18 }{ 6 } \) plants
⇒ 15 girls can fence = \(\frac { 18\times 15 }{ 6 } \) plants
= 45 plants
Thus, 15 girls can fence 45 plants in a day.

Question 5.
5 persons can save 15 litres of water if they take bath using (RBSESolutions.com) a bucket instead of shower. Then 25 persons can save how many litres of water?
Solution:
5 person can save = 15l of water
⇒ 1 person can save = \(\frac { 15 }{ 5 } \) litres of water
⇒ 25 person can save

5 Thus, 25 persons can save 75l of water.

Question 6.

Petrol requires for travelling 120 km = 2l
⇒ Petrol requires for travelling 1 km
\(=\frac { 2 }{ 120 } \) litres

or Rahim made in 1 over = \(\frac { 48 }{ 8 } \) = 6 Runs
Similarly, Kabir made in 6 overs = 54 Runs

Thus, Kabir mad more runs per over.
