Solution:

(i) 3.72 x 10 = 37.2

(ii) 0.37 x 10 = 3.7

(iii) 0.5 x 10 = 5

(iv) 1.08 x 100 = 108

(v) 73.8 x 10 = 738

(vi) 0.06 x 100 = 6

(vii) 47.03 x 1000 = 47030

(viii) 0.03 x 1000 = 30

Solution:

(i) 4.2 x 3.5

(ii) 6.25 x 0.5

Hence 6.25 x 0.5 = 3.125

Place the decimal (RBSESolutions.com) point in product so decimal point is put from right side = 1 + 1 = 2

So 4.2 x 3.5 = 14.70

= 14.7

(iii) 1.2 x 0.15

so, 11.2 x 0.15 = 1.68

(iv) 0.08 x 0.5

(v) 101.01 x 0.01

so, 101.01 x 0.01 = 1.0101

(vi) 20.05 x 4.8

Hence, 20.05 x 4.8 = 96.240

Solution:

Length of rectangle = 6.4 cm

breadth of rectangle = 3.2 cm

Area of rectangle 6.4 x 3.2 = 20.48 cm^{2}

Question 5

A car moves 25.17 km in 1 litre petrol. Find (RBSESolutions.com) how many distance will it cover in 10.5 litre petrol?

Solution:

Distanc covered by car in 11 petrol

= 25.17km

∵ distance covered in 10.5 litre

= 25.17 x 10.5

= 264.285 km

Prakash sells 2.500 kg of ghee to Raju (RBSESolutions.com) every month. How much ghee Prakash would have sold to Raju in 10 months?

Solution:

∵ Quantity of gbee sold by Raju in one month = 2.500 kg

∴ Quantity sold in 10 months

= 10 x 2.500 kg

∵ Price of 1 kg tomato = ₹16.50

∴ Price of 22.5 kg tomato = 6.50 x 22.5

= ₹371.25
