About the Poem and the Poet
This poem is written by Shyam Sunder Lal Chordia. This poem is taken from his collections in 1928. This poem is about Chittorgarh and  Rajputs and how they sacrificed their lives to save their motherland from Moghuls and other enemies.

Summary of the Poem
The old Chittor is like the queen, with the crown. Rajput warriors sacrificed their lives for the upkeep of the glory of Chittor. By doing so, they got a special place in heaven. They did not bother about shedding of their precious blood. They fought against the enemies till their last breath to save Chittor. The poet further praises the warriors by saying that it feels as if the way to this motherland (Chittor) of Rajputs seems to be red with their blood.
