(चार दिनों तक लड़ाई चली, लेकिन उल्लाल की सेना काफी थी। पुर्तगाली हारकर तेजी से पीछे हटे, और फिर कभी उल्लाल को परेशान नहीं किया।)
उल्लाल की रानी ( अब्बक्का देवी ) : ( सोचते हुए )-“माँ, आपका सपना सच हो गया है। उल्लाल आज़ाद है!”
(बाद में, अब्बक्का ने मैंगलौर के किले को लेने के लिए केलादी के राजा वेंकटप्पा नायक की मदद की। अंततः केलादी पर शासन करने वाले महानतम राजाओं में से एक शिवप्पा नायक द्वारा पुर्तगालियों को मैंगलोर से पूरी तरह से बाहर निकाल दिया गया।)
