How does fire start in the trash?
Answer:
Fire in the trash may occur both naturally and artificially. People may burn trash and it may lead huge fire. Naturally, trash can catch fire due to burning of flammable substances, sparks, heat or methane gas present in the garbage.

Question 2.
If you were in Veeru’s place, what would you do?
Answer:
If I were in Veeru’s place, first of all I would have called the fire brigade. I would have called people for help by shouting ‘firefire’. I would have brought water from nearby places to pour it on the fire. I would have tried my best to save the nests of birds.

Answer:
Garbage is collected in a dustbin, kept at a fixed place in our neighbourhood or school.

Answer:
Although, there is no risk of fire in our colony or school because we keep regular waste and inflammable waste separately. We keep dustbins away from the electric poles. Still, we can create awareness about fire safety. We should not burn fire near the garbage. We should not burn garbage in open. We should not throw trash here and there.

Question 3.
What is the first thing to do if a gas fire breaks out?
Answer:
First of all turn off the gas regulator and ventilate the room immediately. If the fire is on the gas pipe or stove, then turning off the regulator will extinguish the fire. If the fire is on the cylinder, then wrap a wet cloth or blanket on the cylinder or use a fire extinguisher.
