(i) A farmer produced 1325 kg of wheat and 2450 kg of millet from his field. What was the total amount of grain combined?
Solution :

Therefore total amount of grain becomes 3775 kg.

(ii) 2875 saplings were planted in a block of Churu in one year. The next year, 3125 more saplings were planted. How many saplings were planted in total over both years?
Solution :

So, total 6000 Saplings were planted in two years.

(iii) A school bought chairs for 3500 rupees and tables for 2450 rupees. If the school had a total of 7500 rupees, how many rupees are left now?

Solution :

Forest department planted 953 plants in a nursery, out of which 427 Neem plants, 238 Gooseberry plants and rest of were mango plants. Find how many mango plants were planted in a nursery.
Solution :
Number of plants planted by forest department in a nursery = 953 plants.
Total plants of Neem and gooseberry
= 427 + 238 = 665 plants.
