How many pencils will there be in 19 such packets?
Solution :
Pencils in one packet = 75 pencils

= 1425 pencils

There are 79 beads in a garland. How many beads will there be in 68 such garlands?
Solution :Beads in one garland = 79

Solution :
Cost of one bicycle = ₹ 1560
Cost of 6 bicycles = ₹ 1560 × 6
= ₹ 9360
hence, cost of 6 such bicycles is ₹ 9360.

Question 7.
If a cricket team has 11 players, how many players will there be in total in 12 teams?
Solution :
Players in one team = 11
Players in 12 teams = 11 × 12
= 132
hence, total 132 players will be there in 12 teams.

Question 8.
One box contains 1440 soap bars. How many soap bars will there be in 6 boxes?
Solution :
Number of soap bars in one box
= 1440
Number of soap bars in 6 boxes = 1440 × 6
= 8640 bars
hence, in 6 boxes, there are 8640 soap bars.

Question 9.
A family uses 12 kg of rice, 15 kg of flour, and 6 liters of oil every month. The price of rice is ₹ 45 per kg, flour is ₹ 30 per kg, and oil is ₹ 120 per litre. What is the family’s total monthly grocery expense?
Solution :
Cost of 1 kg Rice = ₹ 45
Cost of 12 kg Rice = 45 × 12 = ₹ 540
Cost of 1 kg flour = ₹ 30
Cost of 15 kg flour = 30 × 15 = ₹ 450
Cost of 1 litre Oil = ₹ 120
Cost of 6 litre Oil = 120 × 6 = ₹ 720
hence, family’s total monthly grocery expenses are ₹ 1710.

Question 10.
In a school in Barmer, each student is given 4 pens, 2 notebooks, and 1 eraser. The cost of a pen is ₹ 10, a notebook is ₹ 35, and an eraser is 5. If there are 25 students in the class, what will be the total cost of the material?
Solution :
Cost of 1 Pen= ₹ 10
Cost of 4 Pens = 10 × 4 = ₹ 40
Cost of 1 notebook = ₹ 35
Cost of 2 notebook = 35 × 2 = ₹ 70
Cost of an eraser = ₹ 5
Cost of 4 Pens, 2 notebooks and one eraser
= 40+70+5
= ₹ 115
Total students = 25
Total Expenses = 115 × 25 = ₹ 2875

Yash want needs 751 lamps on Diwali. If the price of one lamp is ₹ 13. How much money does he need to buy the lamps?
Solution :
Price of one lamp = ₹ 13
Price of 751 lamps = 13 × 751 = ₹9763
hence, Yash want needs ₹ 9763 to buy lamps.

Question 3.
In a car factory, 395 cars are manufactured every month, then how many cars will be manufactured in a year?
Solution :
Cars manufactured in one month
= 395
Cars manufactured in one year = 395 × 12

Question 1.
A person monthly saving is ₹ 1855.
Then find his yearly savings.
Solution :
Monthly savings = ₹ 1855
Yearly (12 months) savings = ₹ 1855 × 12
= ₹ 22,260
hence, his yearly saving is ₹ 22,260 .

Question 2.
The population of village is 998 . If the state government gives a subsidy of ₹ 55 per person for the development of village. Then find the total amount of subsidy.
Solution :
Subsidy for one person = ₹ 55
Subsidy for 998 person = ₹ 55 × 998
= ₹ 54,890
hence, the total amount of subsidy is ₹ 54,890.

Question 3.
Find the product of smallest two digit number by largest two digit number.
Solution :
Smallest two digit number = 10
Greatest two digit number = 99
Required product = 99 × 10
= 990

Question 4.
The price of one set of class IV books is ₹ 650. Then what will be the price of 32 sets?
Solution :
Cost of one set of book = ₹ 650
Cost of 32 sets = 650 × 32
= 20,800
hence, cost of 32 sets of books is ₹ 20800.

Long Answer Type and Essay Type Questions :

Question 1.
Mahesh bought 5 balls and 8 bats. If the price of one ball is ₹ 35 and the price of one bat is ₹ 375. Then how much money did Mahesh pay to the shopkeeper?
Solution :
Cost of 1 ball = ₹ 35
Cost of 5 balls = ₹ 35 × 5 = ₹ 175
Cost of 1 bat = ₹ 375
Cost of 8 bats = ₹ 375 × 8 = ₹ 3000
Cost of 5 balls and 8 bats = 175+3000
= ₹ 3175
Hence, Mahesh paid ₹ 3175 to the shopkeeper.
