Solve the following-
(i) Nidhi bought 2 kg potatoes, 500 grams tomatoes, 750 grams green chillies, 1 kg. 500 grams bottle gourd and 1 kg round gourd from a vegetable shop. So tell how much vegetables did Nidhi buy in total?

Solution :

Therefore, Nidhi bought in total 5 kg 750 grams Vegetables.
(ii) Sanjay bought 10 kg sugar from the shop but some sugar fell out due to the bag tearing on the way. On weighing at home, it was found that now he has 6 kg .350 grams of sugar left. So tell how much sugar is less?
Solution :

Therefore, 3 kg 650 grams of sugar is less.
(iii) Rahul bought 40 kg tomatoes and 10 kg potatoes. Out of that 3 kg 500 grams of tomatoes got rotten. So now how many tomatoes are left in total?
Solution :
Total Tomatoes = 40 kg
Tomatoes got rotten = 3 kg 500 gram
Tomatoes are left = 40 kg-3 kg 500 grams
= 36 kg 500 grams
So, 36 kg 500 grams Tomatoes are left in total.
