So, ₹ 486 is left with Rohan.
(ii) There are 435 boys and 392 girls in a school. How many total students are there’?
Solution :

Hence, there are total 827 students in the school.
(iii) Ram has 2186 Rs. His father gave him 1345 rupees more. How much rupees Ram has?
Solution :

Ram has a total of $₹ 3531$.
(iv) There are 1245 books of Hindi, 987 of English and 765 of Science books in a library. How many books are there in the library?
Solution :

Hence, there are total 2997 books in the library.
(v) Sonu had 2450 rupees. She purchased items of Rs. 1375. How much amount (rupees) is left with him?
Solution :

So, Sonu is left with ₹ 1075.
(vi) There were 1525 students in a school. After vacations only 1180 students came to school. How many students remained absent?
Solution :
(vi) Total students = 1525
Students who returned = 1180
Absent students = 1525 – 1180 = 345
So, 345 students were absent.
(vii) 3250 sacks were kept in a godown. 1875 sacks were taken out. How many sacks are left in godown?

Question 12.
A bus covers the distance of 185 km. daily. How much distance it covers in a month (30 days)?
Solution :
Distance covered by the bus per day = 185 km
∴ Total distance covered in a month = 30 × 185

Distance covered by the bus in a month (30 days) is 5550 km.
Question 13.
A student reads 18 pages everyday. If he studies continuously for 45 days then find out how many pages will he read?
Solution :
Student reads pages per day = 18
Total pages read in 45 days = 45 × 18
= 45 × (8 + 10)
= (45 × 8) + (45 × 10)
= 360+450=810 pages
Question 14.
In a field 625 litre water is used for irrigation in a day. How much litre of water will be used for 60 days?
Solution :
Water used for irrigation in a day
= 625 liters
Water used in 60 days = 625 × 60 liters
= 37500 liters
Question 15.
Devraj went to market with Rs. 2000. He spent Rs. 735 on text books and Rs. 315 on notebooks, then find out how much amount is left with him?
Solution:

Remaining Amount = ₹ 2000-₹ 1050
= ₹ 950
Hence, ₹ 950 is left with Devraj.
