General Instructions

  1. Candidates must write their Roll Nos. on the question paper.
  2. All the questions are compulsory.
  3. Write the answer to each question in the given answer-book only.
  4. For the questions having more than one part, the answers to those parts must be written together’s in continuity.
  5. Write the correct serial number of each question as mentioned in the question paper.
  6. Questions have been divided into four parts. Part-I consists of multiple choice questions. Part-II consists of one-word answer type questions. Part-III consists of comprehension passages (unseen and seen) with the textual questions. Part-IV consists of writing skill based questions.
  7. Draw a table in the answer-sheet and write the answer to the question from 1 to 7.

Sangeeta was a student of class VIII. She lived with her parents in the village Dabich. She loved everyone but her classmates neglected her because she had lost one of her legs in a road accident. She was always conscious of her leg. She always felt that everyone was looking at her leg and laughing at the way she walked. So she always tried to avoid people.

The robbers came to know what Chanakya was doing. They decideď to take away as many blankets from his house as they could. It was a moon-lit night, so they were afraid. But two robbers were chosen to steal the blankets.

It was a cold night but the door of the house was open. In the moonlight, everything inside could be seen clearly. The robbers entered the room quietly. The blankets were in a corner. Before taking the blankets, the robbers looked on all sides again. They saw in another corner a bed of straw Chanakya was sleeping on it. He had covered himself with an old blanket, which had holes in it.
