General Instructions

  1. Candidates must write their Roll Nos. on the question paper.
  2. All the questions are compulsory.
  3. Write the answer to each question in the given answer-book only.
  4. For the questions having more than one part, the answers to those parts must be written together’s in continuity.
  5. Write the correct serial number of each question as mentioned in the question paper.
  6. Questions have been divided into four parts. Part-I consists of multiple choice questions. Part-II consists of one-word answer type questions. Part-III consists of comprehension passages (unseen and seen) with the textual questions. Part-IV consists of writing skill based questions.
  7. Draw a table in the answer-sheet and write the answer to the question from 1 to 7.

I am happy that you have started liking the hostel life. As you have written that the facilities provided in the K. G. B. V. (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya) hostel are much satisfactory and up to the mark, this makes me feel proud of my decision. People like us are really fortunate that such type of education with hostel facility is provided to the marginalized section of society by the government free of cost. This is really a dream come true opportunity for people like us. The good quality of food and clothes insured by them is also a great relief.

Shaking his lowered head from side to side, he sobbed and said, “No … No … No …” Finally, he rose, wiped the tears from his cheeks and said softly, “No brother, I cannot go to Jaipur. It is too late for me. Look what four years in mines have done to my hands! The bones in every hand have been smashed at least once, and lately, I have been suffering from arthritis also.

But whether in public life or student life, we cannot reach great heights, if we are lacking in character. We cannot climb the mountain when the ground at our feet is crumbling.

Question 25.
