When once the spring goes, and winter comes, there cannot be this riot of colours and the joy of beauty, certainly not for months to come. If the bee misses this spring and fails to collect the nectar, its larder should remain empty.
So, we must make hay while the sun shines. When the sky is overcast with clouds or when there is heavy downpour, we cannot make hay. We can make ft only when there is sunshine. We can strike only when the iron is hot. When the iron becomes cold, there is no use of striking it, however hard it may be. So, we .must do things at the right time. If once we postpone, only regret will remain. To delay in work is the thief of the time. A little delay does not matter, we tell ourselves and postpone. Finally it becomes our trait and we fail miserably in life. As students we cannot pass well in our examination, as freshers we fail to secure proper placement in life and as adults we leg behind in the race of life and finally we grow weak and old.

The term ‘Wild Life’ means- the untamed and undomesticated animals living a free life in forests, valleys or hills. They are a beautiful link in our ecosystem and help sustain our environment. Man has been hunting wild animals for food, for adventure and for greed of money. Deforestation is also a cause of disappearance of wild animals. As an effort to preserve wild life, Central Wild Life Act was passed in 1972. Some voluntary organisations like the Bombay Natural History Society and the World Wild Life Funds are also doing praiseworthy work in this field. It is with the aim of preserving wild life that over two hundred sanctuaries have been established in India.
Wild life must be preserved because some wild animals work as natural scavengers. Some of these animals are the source of drugs like insulin and anti-venom. India is famous for her Gir lions all over the world. The sanctuaries are source of great income from tourism.
In short, wild animals and birds are highly useful to mankind. The government has introduced a number of measures to protect wild life and we also must do our best to save the glory of our country i.e. wild life from extinction.
