Later on, when he moved into the Third Standard, he asked for problems of Mathematics of higher nature. While in Fourth Standard, he could solve the most difficult problems of Trigonometry. To him each solution was a triumph which encouraged him to a fresh endeavour.

Reaching a ripe old age, the farmer fell ill. It looked as if his end were near. So, he called his sons and said to them, “Dear sons ! my days are numbered. Before dying I want to tell you that in my grapery lies a hidden treasure. Dig it out after my death.” Saying so, the old farmer died.
After performing the last rites of their father, the sons began digging the vine-yard. They dug every inch of it but found nothing.
But the digging led to such a rich crop as had never been there before even in their father’s life-time. So, the sons came to know what their father meant by the hidden treasure. They had learnt that hard-work is the key to a gold mine.

As he was about to kill the hen, it squeaked, “Please do not kill me. If you spare my life, I will lay a golden egg everyday for you.” Haria was surprised to hear this promise.
“But why should I believe you ?”, said Haria. “If I do not lay a golden egg tomorrow, you can kill me,” said the hen.
The next morning, Haria found a golden egg. “It is true! You really can lay a golden egg!” exclaimed Haria.

Answer:
Water Conservation
Water is known as the elixir of life. All living things consist mostly of water e.g. the human body is made of two thirds of water. Man can live without food but not without water. That is why water needs be conserved before it completely gets exhausted.
Water conservation is a method to collect water for future use. Generally it so happens that we let the rain water go into the drains and when there is no rain, we cry for water. Saving rain water wisely is what we ! mean by water conservation.
Water is needed for the very survival of all creatures. It is needed for all kinds of vegetation and crops to grow. While our demand for water has risen because of rising population and growing industrialisation, it is high time we should think of water conservation.
Water can be conserved in many ways. Trees play a very important role in conserving water. Protecting trees means protecting water. More and more trees should be planted in order to have more ground water. ‘Rain water harvesting’ is another effective way of conserving water. It means collecting rain water in an underground tank that is connected to the roof of the building, and recycling it for future use.
Water is one of the nature’s most precious gifts to mankind. So we should conserve water to save life.
Or
Drug Addiction
Drug addiction has become a world wide phenomenon. We can’t pinpoint its real cause but it can be due to discontent with life.
Today, people are frustrated due to many reasons. They take drugs because drugs alone mean to provide an escape from the feeling of boredom. They don’t find themselves to be fit to face the competitive state of life. Drugs provide an escape from the frustration of failure. Many people take it for enjoyment but they are wrong. After taking the drug they have no control over their mind and body. A drunkared can be easily seen staggering.
Drugs taken for any length of time cause addiction. The person is gripped by the habit. This grip- keeps growing stronger and stronger. One day he becomes so much addicted that he cannot live without drugs.
Drugs cause permanent harm to body organs like-brain, liver, kidney and nervous system. Many times, prolonged medical treatment fails to save an addict. It is high time we should think over the problem and educate the people telling them the harmful effects of drugs. They should know that it costs the life of a person.
