Today everybody is health cautious. He/she wants to keep himself/herself fit and healthy. Different people adopt different methods. To obtain best possible health, we should ideally engage in exercises that will strengthen the heart (a strong heart helps reduce the risk of coronary heart disease) and lungs. We should participate in exercises that strengthen and tone muscles, as well as increase our energy level. Exercising regularly can help us maintain a healthy weight and simply help us feel and look better. In fact, a good exercise programme has the ability to add a couple of years to our life! Additionally, people who exercise regularly, tend to be happier and laugh more, because exercise alleviates stress and anxiety. And, when a person attains better health through exercise, that person will generally have a healthier, more optimistic outlook towards life.
Running is one of the best ways of getting fit. It’s inexpensive, requires no special equipment or out-of-the way locations, and is easy to fit in with your everyday routines. Running eats up lots more calories per minute than swimming or cycling.
The crucial rule is never to run at a pace that would stop you talking to someone as you go. Make sure that your strides are not too long. Run with your back straight but keep your body tilted slightly forward. Hit the ground heel first and roll your foot through to the toes. Keep your arms bent (at right angles from the elbow) and parallel to your body. Let your hands hang loose.
For beginners, five minutes running is a respectable achievement. And if you spend three minutes of those just walking briskly that’s still a good start. More important than the length of the run is the regularity aspect.

Health Food Versus Junk Food in Today’s Society
There are so many food chains like pizza, burger etc. They can be easily seen in the every metros and big cities. But unfortunately people forget the fact that the tasty foods are often the worst for your body. Junk food creates so many diseases like – heart attacks, diabetes, overweight etc. Junk food leaves behind all the nutrition when it has been prepared. It contains fibre but in very limited quantity. It also leads to high blood sugar and high cholesterol. Junk food also contains added colours preservatives and artificial sweeteners that might not be properly tested.
On the other hand, a health food not only supplies us with proteins, minerals and essential nutrients but also has many added benefits. So, we should start consuming health food instead of junk foods. Food that does not contain any artificial substances is called as health food and is therefore thought to be good for our health.

River Pollution
In old time all the major cities developed at the bank of rivers. Rivers have been a source of life for everybody. Rivers provide its potable water. But it is very sad to say that people are polluting the river water by dumping the industrial wastes, city wastes etc. in them. None realises that rivers are our lifelines.
Religious ceremonies are also equally responsible for polluting the rivers. Garlands, flowers, ashes etc. used in ceremonies are thrown into the rivers. Thus, the river water becomes no longer fit for drinking.
It is high time that we should realise our responsibility towards nature and must not throw garbage in the river water. The persons who are polluting the rivers, must be treated in a very formal way by telling them the importance of clean and pure river water. Our present government is taking serious steps for making the river water clean.
