(i) 99

(ii) 98

(iii) 89

(iv) 999

Solution.

(i) 99

On changing the number 99 into Vinkulum, Since, inverse of 99 is 1[latex]\overline { 1 } [/latex]9 . Therefore, here unit digit is (9 (10 – 1), thus it would be reduced by 1, complementary digit of tens digit [latex]\overline { 1 } [/latex] is 9, thus it remains same. And hundreds digit is 1, thus hundreds digit would be increased by 1.

(ii) 98

On changing the number 98 into Vinkulum, Since, (RBSESolutions.com) inverse of 98 is 1[latex]\overline { 1 } [/latex]8 .
