Rajasthan Board RBSE Class 7 Maths Chapter 11 Symmetry In Text Exercise
Do and Learn
To show the summetry
Make a diagram (RBSESolutions.com) showing symmetry.
Make some paper cut design
Take a plane paper. Fold it from the middle as shown in figure. Now make two (RBSESolutions.com) wholes and open the paper. The folded line is the symmetry line of the paper. The wholes in the paper are in the form of symmetry.
Similarly other design can be made.
Make a rangoli.
Below given figure is of Rangoli. Decorate (RBSESolutions.com) this with different colour
Draw lines of symmetry in the diagrams given below figures :
Line of symmetry is (RBSESolutions.com) shown by dotted line.
Give any two examples of (RBSESolutions.com) clockwise rotation.
Following are the example of clockwise rotation :
(i) When any nut is tightened then rotation is clockwise.
(ii) The rotation of cycle wheel is in clockwise direction.
Give any two examples of anti clockwise rotation.
Following are examples of anti (RBSESolutions.com) clockwise rotation :
(i) Anti clockwise rotation of cycle wheel.
(ii) when a nut is opened then rotation is anti clockwise rotation.
Determine the order of rotation and angle (RBSESolutions.com) of rotation for the rotational symmetry in the figures given below :
In figure – 1 rotation of 180° and rotation order is is 2 and angle is 360° Hence (RBSESolutions.com) rotation angle is 180° and order is 2.
Square comes in its original (RBSESolutions.com) position four times in one rotation.
Hence its order is 4 and rotational angle is 90°.
Determine the order of rotation, angle of rotation and direction of rotation of B.
Direction of rotation is clockwise. Rotational (RBSESolutions.com) angle is 90° and rotational order is 4.
Have a look of rotational symmetry in cross-section of fruits, traffic signals and wheel etc. Determine the order of rotation of all those.
Rotational order is 8 in the cross section of fruit.
Traffic sign will come in its original (RBSESolutions.com) position after 4 rotation of 90° therefore rotational order in 4 and angle is 90°.
In wheel rotational order is 8.
